Yesterday I finished reading Farworld: Air Keep. About two minutes later, I heard the unmistakable rumble of the UPS truck. I stood there and danced like a fool while my daughter watched me. If she could speak, I'm sure she would have said something like, "Mom's finally lost it."
When I opened the door, the UPS man had just dropped the packages and walked away. I called after him and said, "Thank you!" He had no idea just how happy he made me. I was a little too enthusiastic and when I scooped up my little brown packages, I scraped my finger on the concrete and bled all over. I'll live, though.
I wish I could show you the whole cover, but I can't. It's not finished, and I want you to be totally awed by the final product. Instead, you get to see a sliver...and my big fat head. :)
I had to wait a few hours for my hubby to get home before I started reading The Betrayed with my red pen. I needed someone to take care of the kids... and he had the pen.
Since last night, I've made pretty good progress in editing.
I'm impressed with myself because my body is aching and my throat is itching and my head feels like a tea kettle about to explode. All that aside, I read until 11 o'clock last night.
Having it in a book form, rather than on the computer, somehow makes the story a little more exciting, and I'm loving it a little more every time I read it.
Ok, I'm off to read some more while my kids crawl on my lap and chew on my jeans. For real. My 14 month old is into this biting thing and she really chews on my pants. Go figure.
PS. Farworld by J. Scott Savage is an AMAZING series. I highly recommend them.
